Track Of The Day :: Callum Easter - Feelings Gone
Words: Sam Geary
Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Callum Easter - formerly one fifth of The Stagger Rats - unveils his palette of emotive soundscapes on his forthcoming EP, 'Get Don’t Want', set for release on December 16 via Soulpunk.
‘Feelings Gone’, is the raw, uplifting, blues rock opening track, which he describes the inspiration behind as coming from a dream: “Dreamt I was institutionalised with my lover and that was the line she kept repeating and I realised, when you hold someone and all the shit disappears and you realise you don’t want to kill them and it’s just two kinds of people, as in any pair of individuals on the planet face to face. And then I woke up and forgot what it meant.”
