Words: Ellie Ward
This dreamy, washed out new track from Canadian two-piece Blue Of Noon couldn't be further from its 'Nightmare' title. The hazy, elusive vocals come in as a late swell over synths and drum machine. It is a beautiful, stressless five-minute listen.
The duo, Joel Blanken and Chris McComas, from Hamilton, Ontario, were previously known as Permanent Vacation (the name now seemingly taken a permanent vacation), although the dreamgaze style is not dissimilar. This is the third track - mastered by the Brit outfit The Death Of Pop - from them this year - all to feature on their debut full-length (release date not yet confirmed.)
