New tracks coming up from Down Under
Little Indie casts its ears and eyes over more of the latest sounds to emerge recently from Down Under.
WAWAWOW - FLUORO FITZWILLIAM
In a similar vein to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Sydney's 'psych-junk weirdos' new single supplies five minutes of fuzzy and frantic psych rock thst definitely has the 'wow' factor.
GOLD CLASS - GET YOURS
With the Melbourne band's second album 'Drum' released last Friday via Felte Records, this single blazes out from its driving percussion and guitar start, before Adam Curley's dark delivered vocals channel post-punk vibes.
ESTERS - CHLORINE
The Sydney-based alt-pop rock project of Thomas Botting (vocals, guitar), Ollie Thorpe (bass) and Carl Morgan (drums), offer a fetching vocal prominence before drawing in a melodic guitars and catchy bass rhythm.
DISPLAY HOMES - CLIMATE CHANGE
This debut single from the Sydney trio - taken from their self-titled debut EP out via Tough Love Records on September 22 - sees them take on American styled pop punk hooks and a high falsetto vocal on this impressive first cut.
PLGRMS - CRAWLING BACK
Sydney-based duo, singer-songwriter Jacob Pearson and multi-instrumentalist songwriter/producer Jonathan Bowden, veer slightly off the electronic path with a more organic instrumentation sound of Pearson’s warm vocals, while synths wail amongst African-tinged percussion, and a funk-laced bass line.
