Wild Honey are set to get 'In Your Head' with debut album
Words: Ellie Ward
Sydney five-piece Wild Honey announce the release of their debut album 'In Your Head', set for release on November 3, along with a six-date album tour - the last chance to see the band live for 2017.
Released on the band's own label SPILLWAY Records, 'In Your Head' - recorded with producer Jack Moffitt (The Preatures, Mosquito Coast) - is a nod to growing up and getting it done. The album's twelve songs are an ode to coming of age; the days when the beach is your escape from the sound of your parents fighting, the nights you finally get the confidence to talk to the crush from your uni lecture at house party.
Listen to 'Messed Up' from the record below. Frontman Thom Moore says the track came about when he started to question his own routine of “putting up with whatever I had to do through the week, hanging out for the weekend when I could get loaded, but then too soon its Monday and I’d press repeat. How many times can you do it, before you begin to wonder if as well as well as losing time, you might be losing a bit of yourself in it”.
