Para Alta released their swooner of a new single, ‘Backseat Driver’, yesterday, and the Hartlepool-formed four-piece have dropped a slice of dreamy, melodic loveliness in all its five minutes.
The shimmery, alt-pop song - which has been around in their live set for the last year - is, says vocalist Jonny Bee, "a classic tale of a lovers tussle behind the wheel of a relationship. It’s a song we feel best represents who and where we are as a band, it’s a favourite of ours and hopefully for everyone else now too.”
Para Alta play Hit The Bar in Middlesbrough tonight (November 25), though it is now sold out. Keep a watch on their Facebook for further shows.
