Following 'Rainbow Girl' from earlier in the year, Vanilla Gorilla from New South Wales, Australia return with a new single of smooth infectiousness, 'Love Is the Earth'.
The encompassing raw vocal of singer/guitarist Jack over the alt-psych rock inflected swirling guitars and hypnotic beat, the four-minute-plus 'Love Is the Earth' is instrumentally complex and mature for this five-piece, given that all are barely 20 years old. That they list The Doors among their influences may give a clue to this band's impressive sound.
Vanilla Gorilla see 2017 out on December 31 at The Northern, Byron Bay, NSW with Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, RAAVE TAPES, and Pandemic.
