Watch :: Marsicans are 'throwing themselves in' on a gym routine on latest single video
Words: Ellie Ward
Directed by - Marsicans manager - Rob Eaglesham, the Leeds band have been busy throwing themselves into their new video for latest single ‘Throw Ourselves In’ - which is out now via LAB Records.
The amusing clip sees the band throwing some shapes, rather than flexing the pecs, against a bunch of abs-bearing gym bunnies - but can they sing? or play guitar? We rest our case...
“Luke is a good friend of ours who’s a gymnast,” enlightens frontman James Newbigging. “He and I were driving to town one day and we had the idea of crossing our two worlds over. As a band, we liked the idea of making the ‘Throw Ourselves On’ video a jokey one and wanted to go as slapstick as we could with it.
“Luke brought in some amazing gymnast friends of his in Harry O’Neill, Ashley Watson and Nile Wilson. You might recognise Nile from the Rio 2016 Olympics. He took home a bronze medal for Team GB – legend!"
Marsicans have lined up a run of live dates next March, kicking off London’s Borderline.
