Brighton's Projector share ‘Break Your Own Heart’ visuals
Words: Ellie Ward
Brighton grunge pop trio Projector follow recently released single ‘Break Your Own Heart’ with its video.
“'Break Your Own Heart' is about not recognising yourself, and then regeneration," says bassist Lucy Sheehan. "Musically it’s the natural progression from our double A-side single ‘Love’ towards the new EP, a pop introduction to something more post-punk and unhinged."
To that end, the chugging riffed track is completed by a video, directed by Stewart Gardiner, featuring a small girl pulling apart organs, candy coloured balls and a melon, as the band perform the song.
“We had an amazing time filming it," adds Lucy. "Tilly [drummer Demelza’s niece] was a superstar and Stewart got some amazing shots from the studio.”
