Released last week, this new single from Viennese dream-pop three-piece Sluff is a real piece of Austrian delectation from the Siluh Records label, who have proved to be consistently strong (check out DIVES for one), if not promoted enough outside of Austria and Germany.
Sluff - Martin Zenker, Moriz Büsing, Paul Stöttinger - seem to have been around for a few years now, though 'Deep Blue' is actually my own personal introduction to them. The first single from their forthcoming debut album 'On Debris', due to drop in September, its dreamgaze sound washes over your ears as effectively as the visual aspect, filmed in an Art Deco styled indoor baths in Vienna. A real delight.
