Little Indie #Blogtoberfest featuring... AL MOSES
'Tis the month of October and that can only mean one thing: #Blogtoberfest. Once again the highlight of the London music scene will see 31 free gigs take place at North London venue The Finsbury across the month, curated by some of the finest online music sites in the UK.
Little Indie's show will take place on Saturday October 27 and we will be playing host to four emerging bands that have impressed us over the last 12 months. From Cardiff we have teen four-piece AL MOSES with their debut single imminent; attitude and riff-laden trio from Leicester, THE LIDS; newly hatched and raring to go, Fife four-piece PARIS STREET REBELS, and driving Newton-le-Willows quartet who put the kick ass in K, THE K's.
Entrance is free, but to secure admittance it is advisable to order a ticket beforehand from here. But if you can't plan ahead or just decide on the day you want to come along, you should still be able to get in! If it looks like selling out we will keep you informed by social media in good time.
See the latest on the Facebook event link.
Over the next days we will highlight each of our four bands to give you a taste of what to expect on the night. Today we start with AL MOSES.
Al Moses are an incendiary new band made up of four nineteen-year-old friends from the South Wales valleys, who take on rock and roll history and stamp it with their personalities and the youthful ambition to be heard beyond their hometown.
With its sneering vocals, sizzling riffs and stomping beat, their rollicking debut single 'I Want More' - produced by Steffan Pringle (Estrons, Himalayas) - encapsulates their burning ambition, and, the disillusionment of their generation, wrapped up in a swaggering chorus with sneering vocals, sizzling riffs and a stomping beat.
As one of Little Indie's top four for our #Blogtoberfest night, tell us a little about yourselves, where you're from and what you've done.
Daf Thomas (vocals, guitar): We’re Al Moses. We're a four-piece rock 'n' .roll band from South Wales. We have sold out all our headline shows, including one at the legendary Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff, whilst also supporting prestigious acts such as The Sherlocks, Pretty Vicious and Peace.
For those who haven't seen or heard of you before, sum up your style and sound in a few sentences.
Jack Shepherd (vocals, guitar): We write gritty, anthemic and liberating songs inspired by bands such as Manic Street Preachers and The Libertines. Our lyrics can vary between cynical social commentaries and more personal soul searching subjects.
Name one song in your set that really works the room.
Raychi Bryant (bass): One song we can always count on going down well is 'I Want More'. It's full of hooks and a huge chorus, people latch onto it very quickly. It's gonna be out debut single, out on November 30th
If folks want to check you out before the night, where can they find you online?
George Percival (drums): You can find us on on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on the links below. On Soundcloud and Spotify we are just under 'Al Moses'
