It feels like Glasgow-based alt-rock group The Van T’s have been around for about as long as the roadworks in Sauchiehall Street, but perhaps Glasgow City Council could learn a thing or two from the band about adopting an ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it approach.’
To the band’s immense credit, they’ve grafted and developed their ideas over the last three years since their debut EP ‘Laguna Babe’ and are now back with a polished, yet still suitably loose-wired and furiously fuzzy new single ‘Suis-Je Cool?’ which is one of their most complete, memorable and addictive songs to date. Singer Hannah describes the track as being “dedicated to those who feel they struggle to fit in, but should embrace everything about themselves.” If you’re in that boat, set sail for one of their live shows before the end of the year.
