[Video] Yukon Era - Tongue

Melbourne-via-Auckland post-punks Yukon Era have shared a short film for their 2017 single 'Tongue', ahead of next year's debut album.

Directed by Dylan Pharazyn, the five-minute clip, filmed in Auckland’s 'burbs, follows a woman (played by Tessa Mitchell) as she catches sight of her doppelgänger and gives chase.

"I wanted to create a film in which a woman has a strange encounter with another version of herself," says Pharazyn. "I love the layers of meaning in doppelgänger movies… the other self-representing a guilty past or a subconscious yearning for change or an inability to act... I’ve tried to create an emotional tale with a touch of the Twilight Zone weird."
