Melbourne producer Braille Face brings 'Mir' to vinyl release
Words: Ali Mack
Released on 12" vinyl on April 13 for Record Store Day, Braille Face, aka Melbourne singer/producer Jordan White, returns with his first new music of the year.
Following 2018's dual 'Lightletting' and 'Malheureux' EPs, 'Mir' is an introspective, but propulsive, pop work that brings in organic guitar, piano and drums, as he returns to lyrical themes of love and connections made and lost.
Partly recorded in New York with engineer/producer Eli Crews (tUnE-yArDs, Questlove, Lorde), 'Mir' also features sampled drums from Son Lux's Ian Chang and manipulated vocals by Braille Face's sister Mietta, the dancer who featured prominently in his previous 'Tear' video.
'Mir' is available in select record stores in Melbourne, Los Angeles and London now, and via Bandcamp.
