Track Of The Day :: White Flowers - Day by Day
Words: Ellie Ward
Preston’s White Flowers, Katie Drew and Joey Cobb, have today shared a new track, the seven-minute atmospherically sonic 'Day by Day'.
The Jez Williams (Doves’ guitarist) co-produceded track is taken from their second 12” release for Tough Love Records following 'Night Drive' which was released in January.
"'Day by Day' was actually written a few years ago but has taken on an eerie relevance in light of current events," say the duo. "As the title suggests, the song explores living in the present moment as a way of overcoming difficulties and growing stronger. Written during a dark time in our lives the song is about the struggle of carrying on, taking each day at a time in hope that things will eventually get better."
The double A-side single, 'Day by Day' / 'Katy Song' will be released on 12” vinyl on May 8 and is limited to 150 copies.
