Happy. release lyric video for 'Liarliar’ - the song which evolved out of manic depression
Words: Sam Geary
American Carolinas trio Happy. are probably feeling H.A.P.P.Y as they drop a lyric video for ‘Liarliar’ in the run up to the release of second album, 'Imposter Syndrome', out October 30 via Rude Records.
The song, as described by vocalist and guitarist Tate Logan, was built on his experience with manic depression - as evidenced in lines like: “When will I accept that the sickness in me is treatable? / All I gotta do is put in the work and take the pills."
"We chose to express this visually by breaking the fourth wall between us and our fans," he says. "This video is a representation of a therapy session, something I was once extremely familiar with that ultimately saved my life."
