Lucas Inacio has developed another string to his bow. Alongside the Vancouver-based singer-songwriter's role as record producer, visual artist, and one half of alt-rockgaze duo Palm Haze, he has now released his first solo single as Fløver.
As 'Reef' opens on its motorik beat and psych-infused guitars, it could almost be early TOY in nature, but as it progresses over its four-minutes-plus duration, we hear Fløver's vocal diversify from Tom Dougall, and in the second half particularly, the sound takes on more of a post-punk persuasion.
Currently, Fløver is working on Palm Haze’s upcoming album, 'Réve Bleu'. His own solo EP, 'Focusing Illusion', is set for release early next year.
