Released December 7, the new single from North London band Idle Youth, ‘Preface’,
The Camden Town-based four-piece, now expanded from their original one-man project, takes inspiration from post-punk, shoegaze and synthpop; with, on 'Preface', cutting a path through all and coming out with something that is of their own style.
Whilst still retaining the lo-fi production qualities of their previous releases (including last single, the August released 'Gardens), 'Preface' also signals a change in the sound of the band, blending in dance sensibilities with dreampop and 80s synthpop elements.
