Once again back in the UK following their support tours and festival appearances last year, Australian alt-pop-rockers The Faim support their headline tour with new single, 'Fire', which drops this Friday.

The Perth four-piece recorded the track - their first new material since 2018's debut EP 'Summer Is A Curse and its slew of single cuts - in LA with Linus (blink-182, 5 Seconds of Summer), and is, says frontman Josh Raven, a bit of a departure from their previous singles, though fuzzing still with verve.

"The concept behind 'Fire' is about how dedicating yourself to achieve your dream can affect your relationships with those closest to you, be it family, friends, or loved ones," he elucidates. "When you fully believe inj something that you're working towards, it can become an addiction. You become so focused on what you plan to achieve that you lose sight of what's happening around you. This is what 'fire' refers to in the song: that burning passion to create, express ourselves, and grow as musicians that we can't put out even if we tried."

'Fire' is definitely 'hot' stuff. It's seductively more-ish from the off; jam-packed with catchy beats and some llustrous guitar work, with, of course, the penetratingly delicious vocals of Raven holding you close to the flames.
