Words: Sam Geary
Portsmouth's Is Bliss live up to their name on this single cut from their newly announced debut album ‘Strange Communication’, released June 7 via Club AC30.
Channelling shades of early Verve or Ride, Is Bliss fill out three and a half heady, reverb-drenched psychgaze minutes on the melodic richness of ‘All I See Is You’; an intimate and confessional lyrical tale of love and heartbreak. While it opens just on guitar plucks and Jimmy Stuart's evocative vocal, it opens up beautifully, like an exquisite flower on bloom.
Bliss.
