Track Of The Day :: Walt Disco - Strange To Know Nothing

Words: Linn Branson

Having left a lasting impression on Little Indie from their Great Escape performance last week, it is nice to hear Walt Disco's recorded single version of 'Strange To Know Nothing'.

Out today (May 17) via singles label IHC 1NFINITY, it is a sub-three minute disco-dram-pop banger from the Glaswegians, which bursts out of the starting-traps with a slinky groove that is part dancefloor filler and part moody goth.

"'Strange To Know Nothing' is about the conflict many people have had when they feel stuck in a relationship," say the quintet on the track. "The feeling that they should seek excitement from someone else. But there is still something about the love that you already have that makes you feel sexy, freaky and strange..."

Premiered last night by John Kennedy on Radio X, 'Strange To Know Nothing', with James Power's crooning vocals, angular guitars and dark shimmering synths, really is something to know.
