Club Paradise ace the visuals for synth gem 'Kirby Keger'
Words: Linn Branson
A Little Indie favourite when 'Kirby Keger' first dropped back in March, it has honestly been a pleasure to hear Newcastle's Club Paradise once again via the newly released video for the single.
Produced by the band's vocalist/ guitarist Ryan Young, with additional footage and imagery from Will Gorman and Kristoff Photography, they aimed "to tie the audio aesthetic to a visual, and with the inspiration being drawn from St. Elmo’s Fire and the track having an 80s feel, we thought we'd go down a modular retro gaming/digital route,” says Young.
"We wanted something cool and a little bit different, although the track has a deeper meaning. I think it’s the most fun we’ve ever had and that was a key point to our video."
Catch Club Paradise when they support APRE for a hometown show at Think Tank?, Newcastle on October 10.
