kwassa, aka Scott Verrill, releases his new single 'nyc (demo)' today (August 23) via Warner Records.
Showcasing his soulful side, the track follows his recent 'fka kyko' EP, fizzing with a bittersweet fragility. This is also the first track that Scott has self-produced for his kwassa project, previously only producing for other artists (most notably rising Pop starlet Call Me Loop).
“The thought of getting away to better, far-away places is something that has always inspired my writing," Verrill says. "Instead of focusing on the exciting, escapism side of travel and getting away, 'nyc (demo)' is a take on the things you leave behind when you move on.”
