ROAM throw a 'Hand Grenade' to new single
Words: Sam Geary
Eastbourne five-piece ROAM follow previous singles 'Piranha' and ‘I Don’t Think I Live There Anymore’ with another track from the pop-punks' upcoming third album, 'Smile Wide', out on September 6 via Hopeless Records.
'Hand Grenade', produced in Texas by Machine (Fall Out Boy, Clutch, As It Is), is a surging, dynamic cut filled with powering drums, thumping bassline, and Alex Costello's dominant vocal delivery.
Guitarist/vocalist Alex Adam describes the song as about "being fed up with everything. It’s the breaking point of being given shit situation after shit situation and blowing up about it."
