Track Of The Day :: Surf Curse - Hour Of The Wolf

Credit: Julien Sage

Words: Ellie Ward

The darkly compelling 'Hour Of The Wolf' is the new cut from the upcoming album 'Heaven Surrounds You' by LA's Surf Curse

The song from the duo, Nick Rattigan and Jacob Rubeck, while tinged with melancholia, also showcases Surf Curse's unusual melodic manoeuvrings and echoing vocal arrangement. They also share its monochrome video accompaniment, full of gore, loneliness and loss.

The band offer a cryptic clue behind the story of the song, saying “Look close. There is filth. Rotten gold. What good is blood if not to be swallowed. Whole and clean."

The Jarvis Taveniere (Sunflower Bean, Woods)-produced 'Heaven Surrounds You' will be released on September 13 via Danger Collective Records.
