Track Of The Day :: SHEAFS - Care Less
Words: Ellie Ward
Produced by Dead Nature's (and ex-Spring King) Tarek Musa at Whitewood Recording Studio in Liverpool, SHEAFS are back with a fierce new release: 'Care Less'.
The fast-paced, scintillating track is two and a half minutes of firing on all cylinders of boldness and swagger, through buzz-saw guitars and motorik percussive strikes, which collectively serve to provide the fuel that drives the lyrical apathy.
“'Care Less' was written with a double narrative," the band reveal. "On the surface the lyrics condemn those applicable social pressures of ‘fitting in’, much like being back at school and aspiring to be one of the ‘cool kids’. The second narrative is a something of a self reflective one. Caring less about having a sound that is refined and embracing one that isn’t… We see this track as a major stepping-stone in our song writing and will dictate where we go next.”
