Sharing new track ‘Dead Fridays’, London quintet Sad Boys Club once again bring their glistening, guitar-based melodies to their latest addictive release.
Always managing to sound interesting, while exploring the indie-synth sphere with articulately crafted works, helmed by frontman Jacob Wheldon's distinct vocal inflection, 'Dead Fridays' comes as the follow-up to early summer's introspective 'Mirror And Me'.
Produced by bassist Pedro Caetano Leite, the track comes as the first taste of their new EP 'four shades of the transitional phase', due to arrive in the next few months.
“‘Dead Fridays’ is the first song of a collection that explores themes of transition, loss and the turbulence that brings, and how to make sense of that,” shares Wheldon. “It’s the most angsty song on the record; a loner anthem and a scream into the void. Everyone loves those.”
Sad Boys Club play Brighton’s Green Door Store on September 11 (w/ Birthday Card, Prima Queen). They’re currently on tour with No Hot Ashes, which concludes with shows at Bristol’s Louisiana tonight (September 6) and the O2 Academy 2 Oxford tomorrow.
