** PREMIERE ** Casual Drag - Isolation Island

Words: Ellie Ward

Little Indie introduced Scottish outfit Casual Drag back in the summer with the release of their two cracking tracks,'Bleach Head' and 'Out Of Sight'.

The Edinburgh garage-rock trio are back with a new slice of thumping rock n roll with 'Isolation Island, which is out today, and will be launched live this weekend with gigs tonight (October 25) in Glasgow and a hometown show in Edinburgh tomorrow.

"We had this song idea for a while and it was kicking around for a few months before we had a frantic session where we just finished it after weeks of trying to work out a structure," states vocalist/guitarist Richard Clarke of the track which proudly premiere here.

"I guess the song is about not settling for a normal life and wanting to be in a different place from where you are at. We are trying to get across that restlessness that comes with modern life!"

The headbanging 'Isolation Island' is just the sort of thing to get the party started, complete with a drum machine intro - "a wee homage to one of our band heroes, Iggy Pop, and his song 'Nightclubbing'" - and a cascade of guitar riffs to blow your socks off.

Casual Drag are: Richard Clarke - vocals, guitar; Dominic MacInnes - bass; Christian Werner - drums
