All We Are are back after 2 years with single/video - 'L Is For Lose'
Words: Ellie Ward
All We Are have returned with their first new music since the release of their 'Sunny Hills' album in 2017.
'L Is For Lose' - out now via Domino Records - is a funky, bass-heavy, alt-pop affair that marks a new direction for the Liverpool-based international three-piece: vocalist/bassist Guro Gikling, from Norway; Brazilian guitarist Luis Santos, and drummer and vocalist Richard O’Flynn from Ireland.
“'L Is For Lose' is a psychosexual, off-kilter tune that is an ode to that weird dance, the push and pull, that a sexual relationship moves to," they tell us. "So close your eyes, get into that rhythm and feel that heat.”
The track comes via a video, directed by Jack Whiteley. "What started out as a desire I had to make a lyric video, quickly escalated into a full-blown music video with animation," he reveals. "I imagined a hot Miami night where the band play characters caught up in an 80s crime love triangle, before the funk drops and they settle their differences on the dancefloor. Big shout out to our brother Joe Wills who cooked up some seriously hot and saucy animation as well as everyone on our amazing crew, both humans and animals alike!”
Tune in below - and catch the band from tonight (November 1) on their live outing with Palace.
