Half-Swiss, half-German alt-rock four-piece GRAN NOIR mark their return after their ‘Electronic Eyes’ album, with new single ‘On And On’.
The stirring, yet sombre ‘On And On' elegantly combines guitar, violin and vocals, with a driving beat that lends a subtle force to the poignant and meaningful lyrics: "You know I'll be there / pain: a forgotten place / time - never cries / no walls around, no walls around."
You can hear the track below via its music video, which was produced by the band, with the Swiss World Cup downhiller Annina Bruehwiler, and directed by Mario Hickethier of farbtonvideos.
"The remote Black Forest hut from childhood is a place of remembrance of an old friendship that was torn from this world far too early, every crack in the wood panelling is permeated by long evenings and shared history. The unique pictures of the Julier Pass in Graubünden show that the deep connection with life is a constant outdoor adventure," the band share of the visual's setting.
