Max Bloom conjures up an evocative story on his new self-recorded and mixed single, 'Bottle'.

Prior to his December tour - see dates below - the ex-YUCK member drops this new work on November 22 via Anniversary, the follow-up to 'Call Me When It’s Over' which came out in August.

“This song is about the moment when my ex-girlfriend and I ended our relationship after 8 years," he reveals. "It was just after Christmas, and we met up in a busy bar in Soho. She gave me a bag of Christmas presents from her family. She broke her stoicism for one second to say the words ‘I always thought that we’d be together forever,’ and I completely broke down. Suddenly, for the first time in 8 years, I found myself completely alone. I’ve come a long way since then, but the way I felt at that moment will stay with me forever.”

"Where did we go wrong? / You've got some nerve, what do you take me for? / All those tears I cried / Slipped through my fingers and out the back door / When I smell your perfume it pulls me under / When I drive past your house it pulls me under".
