Sports Team gallop ahead with brand new track, 'The Races'
Words: Ellie Ward
Sports Team have dropped a new track today, as they continue on their current sell-out tour.
Premiered last night as Annie Mac's Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1, 'The Races', recorded at Livingston Studios in London and produced by longtime collaborator Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever), is built on a driving bassline, with their trademark swagger in full focus.
Lyrically, the song continues to play with middle english characters recognisable from the band’s back catalogue, this time delving into dodgy politics and misguided patriotism.
‘The Races’ is the latest track to come from the band’s as yet untitled debut album, set for release in 2020.
