Wielding inviting melodies, ambient synths and smooth vocal harmonies, Norwich indie emos Marigolds share new track, 'Everglades'.
The track is the lead single from the quintet's forthcoming second EP, 'Hot Springs', to be released March 20 2020 via Beth Shalom Records.
“This track was a step away from some of the existing Marigolds discography and was the beginning of us defining our new sound," say the band. "The track delves into almost country and folk terrain, with swooning guitar melodies and interweaving harmonies. Taking influence from artists like Joni Mitchell, we wanted to tell a story from the retrospective vision of an old couple, looking back on their time together.”
You can catch Marigolds live for an early New Year show on January 11 at Voodoo Daddys Showroom in Norwich.
