Brooklyn trio THICK share upcoming debut album cut, 'Bumming Me Out'

Words: Sam Geary

Nikki Sisti, Shari Page, and Kate Black, the Brooklyn threesome who perform as THICK, plan to drop their debut album, '5 Years Behind', on March 6 via Epitaph. But today they’re sharing a new song from it, 'Bumming Me Out'.

The punchy pop-punk track is debuted with a video, directed by Nic Golden Henry.

"It’s one of our more vulnerable songs lyrically, so it was important to inject the video with some playfulness," say the band of the chugging number. "We collaborated on the concept with Nic Henry. He had wanted to introduce the ‘Chill Reaper’ character for a while, so we worked him into the slumber party story, as the night gets weirder and weirder. We constructed the set in Nikki’s bedroom as a throwback to our own bedrooms growing up, so there’s also a sense of nostalgia throughout."
