Danish four-piece Yung mark their return with a new 7", 'Progress', out now digitally, with a physical limited edition to follow on August 28 via PNKSLM Recordings.
The Aarhus quartet went dark after the release of their debut albim 'A Youthful Dream', released in 2016, followed by a series of acclaimed EPs.
After spending time reassessing their direction, the band returned to the studio to work on a follow-up to their debut record, and now, four years after the release of the debut, they share the first fruits of that labour in the shape of 'Progress'.
The guitar-laden jam is undoubtedly stamped with Mikkel Holm Silkjær’s vocal that grips amidst the thrashing sonic array of sounds.
"Lyrically, 'Progress' deals with personal growth and how the changes of our world influence our perception of reality," they say. "Once our views have been challenged, our lifes and routines will all of a sudden take on new meaning. In the case of this song, it’s about the alienation that might come with these realisations, and the hardships of adapting while our immediate surroundings remain intact."
