The Velvet Hands release single in aid of the Music Venue Trust

Words: Sam Geary

The new single from The Velvet Hands, ‘When This Is Over’, released with precise timing last week via JamX Recordings/ AWAL, as  a celebration of lockdown ending and a slight semblance of normality returning to the UK.

All proceeds from the single are going to the Music Venue Trust in support of the ongoing crisis affecting the live music industry during Covid-19. Protecting grassroots venues, pubs, and clubs is something the band feel deeply passionate about, as they believe these places are the lifeblood of emerging talent, and if they don’t get the support they need the world would be a much colder place.

Listen to the Cornish rockers as they raise a glass to the lifting of lockdown measures with a timely ode to the joys of getting a round in.
