Released last week, Glasgow punks Gallus are back with a blistering new single 'Marmalade'.
Recorded once again at 7 West with Johnny Madden and Chris Marshall, the tangy follow up to 'Eye to Eye' is a tasty morsel emboldened by punchy guitars and Barry Dolan's inimitable vocal style; its biting edge tempered by a catchy beat and dancealong rhythms.
“It wasn’t until I was halfway through writing lyrics to this song until I realised it was about my experience with therapy," states Dolan. "The ability to adapt is necessary but it almost feels uncomfortable changing when you have already convinced yourself you are a decent person.
“Hearing the song more and more makes me sad that we only ever played it live a handful of times before lockdown. I’m hoping sooner or later we can be back playing these new songs that didn’t get the chance to be heard by everyone.”
