Emerging Glaswegian songwriter, Lizzie Reid has shared her debut EP ‘Cubicle’, out now via Seven Four Seven Six.
Lizzie’s songs are microcosms of love, loss and heartbreak experienced in Glasgow’s streets, nightclubs and bars.
Previous EP singles, ‘Tribute’, ‘Been Thinking About You’, ‘Seamless’ and ‘Always Lovely’, have racked up plays across BBC6 Music and on Phil Taggart’s Radio 1’s Chillest Show.
The EP was recorded in Lizzie’s home last March with producer Oli Barton-Wood, finishing it just days ahead of the UK-wide lockdown, and is a reflection on a formative summer for Lizzie when her first same-sex relationship came to an end. It was a summer of heartbreak and mental disarray but by the end Lizzie grew more comfortable with herself and her sexuality.
