Paris Youth Foundation make their first entry on 2021 with new single 'The Back Seat', out now via Frictionless Music.
The Liverpool five-piece once again harness their infectious, brightly-lit youthful melodies with lyrics drawn from real life.
Following 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' and 'Late Night Lost Love' as a vivid illustration of a broken heart having nowhere to go after dark, here on 'The Back Seat', frontman and lyricist Kevin Potter lends his soaring vocals to the four-minute "upbeat sad song," as he calls it.
"[It's] about two people getting to grips with being on their own," he adds, "trying to hide their pain with drink and how drunk calling someone and hearing their voice mail at 4am makes you feel a little less alone. All those messages you've typed out, but never had the courage to send end with a sense of inevitability and the regrettable call being made in the taxi on the way home.”
