We felt a 'Shiver' this time last year from Birmingham quartet Violet, and now they are back with their first newbie of 2021, the brilliant 'Fade'.
Produced by Mercury Prize winner Catherine Marks, the track - released last week via CloseUp/Modern Sky - had been a live favourite in those dark, distant days when we had live shows, and now the confident coming-of-age number comes into its own with its hypnotic, reverbed guitar sound swirling around four-minutes-plus in a psych-indie-shoegaze fusion.
