First Listen :: Casual Sex

Glasgow quartet Casual Sex may not exactly be a name to Google during your office work-time, but after those early split 7" of fun, now comes the first full offiering on Moshi Moshi.

Coompared to Orange Juice and Franz Ferdinand, Casual Sex were picked up by the label for their debut double A-side 'Stroh 80' / 'Soft School' which was released last week. 'Stroh 80' is, according to vocalist Sam Smith, “about being caught doing the nasty with your girlfriend’s pal in the aftermath of a drug party on the floor of a local occultist”. And if that's not enough to entice you, it delivers some very tasteworthy chords, handclaps, a bit of disco - and one helluva tune.

And if you should fancy a spot of Casual Sex tonight (April 9), then get along to The Social in London for a Moshi Moshi night which also includes Fimber Bravo and Totem. All free too.
