East End Live 13.7.13 :: Filthy Boy

In the run-up to East End Live, the one day music festival taking place at various venues in East London on July 13, we are dipping into a short selection of just a few if the 60 artists taking part, with a little sample taster of what they are about.

To kick off, we asked Harry Weskin, guitarist with Filthy Boy, for a quick one.

Description: South London quartet (which includes the Morrissey songwriting brothers, Paraic and Michael) with a penchant for articulate, if sometimes profane, lyrics. Their Edwyn Collins produced debut album, 'Smile That Won't Go Down' was released earlier this year.

Looking forward to July 13 and your festival appearance?

We're looking forward playing as we've known the promoter for a while. He put us on for one of our first gigs. As we're on at 8.30 we hope to see a lot of bands after our set. Hoping to catch Comet Gain, Charlie Boyer and The Voyeurs and Charles Hayward

Which song will you be including in your set that you would like us to link to?

The song we'll be opening the set with is 'Jimmy Jammies'.

Filthy Boy play Hoxton Bar & Kitchen at 8.30pm.
