Folk veteran Roy Harper, who recently celebrated his 72nd birthday, has announced the release his new album.
'Man And Myth' will be out on September 23 via Bella Union. This will be Harper's first studio album since 2000 with 'The Green Man'. The seven-track work includes Pete Townshend playing lead guitar on 'Cloud Cuckooland', Jake Blanton (bass), Richard Chard (drums), Omar Valesco (clavinet and melatron) and Jason Crosby (keyboards) on 'The Enemy', 'Time Is Temporary', 'The Stranger' and 'Cloud Cuckooland'.

Prior to the album release, Harper will play two festival shows in August: Beautiful Days on August 17 and Green Man on August 18.
In October he will play London's Royal Festival Hall (October 22), Manchester Bridgewater Hall (October 25) and Bristol Colston Hall (October 27).
