Today's Hot Track :: Die Mason Die - You're Lonely

Die Mason Die have just this week unveiled what is to be their next single release. And what a little beauty it is too.

‘You’re Lonely', released on September 9 through Young & Lost Club, is the follow up to DMD's contribution to Daniel Johnston's 'Space Ducks' album.

Die Mason Die, whom we featured here back in May, are the London based four-piece fronted by 21-year-old Samuel Mason - an exponent of the (self-invented) genre 'ghost folk', they released their debut single 'Lost' last October, followed shortly after by an EP, 'Tongues In The Clamp'.

Like 'My Favourite Cave', their previous song, 'You're Lonely' is another that is driven by the emotive and evocative Mason vocals. The slow burning opening gradually builds on seering guitar strings and instrumentation that slowly pulls you into its web as easily and as tightly as a spider weaving its gossamer-fine web around you.

Not just the hottest track of the day, but possibly the whole week. And not just the week, possibly the whole year. Never has 'ghost folk' sounded so divine.
