23-year-old Canadian guitarist influenced by the likes of Aztec Camera and Prefab Sprout. Lo-fi pop with jangly chords for those who fancy a touch of Kurt Vile on happy pills.
HOLY STRAYS - SERENADE
Nom-de-plume of 22-year-old Paris-based musician/producer Sebastien Forrester. Taken from his debut EP 'Chasm' out October 14. Dusky beats, woozy electronica, multi-vocal sampling and percussion a-plenty.
JADE HOPCROFT - CREEPING IN
Prior to making her full band debut at The Lexington, London, on October 10, the songstress has released this new track, enriched as ever by her delicately evocative vocals and stripped back acoustic guitar.
LOST WINTER - GUIDE BOOK SARCASM
Huddersfield electro-synth outfit (Richard Westwood, guitar; Charlotte Francis, vocals; Richard Flynn, bass) who formed late last year. This track is taken from the 'Summer' EP released last month.
ELEPHANT - SHAPESHIFTER
Duo Amelia Rivas and Christian Pinchbeck supply sumptuous nostalgia poo, with a stirring string arrangement to melt the heart.
SHIVUM SHARMA - FLICKER
Eighteen year old South Londoner with a love of minimalism. If you like Perfume Genius, How To Dress Well, Sivu, then this bedroom demo is a must-hear.
LOVECRAFT - HÄXAN
Debut single (released October 14) from North West space pop five-piece who fuse on this a dreamy melody, zesty electronics and a deeply deep vocal. Curious, but likeable.
BLANK MAPS - CALM
B-side to the Newcastle quartet's latest single 'Lucky Dip' out on October 14. Theyvarw giving away as a free download, which we suggest you grab as this is one of the Maps' best to date.
HOUDINI DAX - OUR BOY BILLY
Lead single from the work-in-progress second album of the Cardiff three-piece, out November 4. Influenced by a diverse range of artists from Tame Impala to BRMC. Should appeal to fans of The Strypes.
