Burial Streams New EP - Rival Dealer
The somewhat elusive and secretive electronica artist Burial (real name William Bevan) announced that he would be releasing a new EP - 'Rival Dealer' - later this month. In a surprise movem it has now dropped earlier than planned and is available on 180g 12-inch vinyl and CD thru Hyperdub. The EP is his first release since last year's 'Truant/Rough Sleeper' EP.
The three tracks - 'Rival Dealer', 'Hider' and 'Come Down To Us - can be heard by downloading from the link here or via the audio videos below.
Via a text to BBC 6 Music DJ Mary Anne Hobbs, Burial stated: "I put my heart into the new EP, I hope someone likes it. I wanted the tunes to be anti-bullying tunes that could maybe help someone to believe in themselves, to not be afraid, and to not give up, and to know that someone out there cares and is looking out for them. So it's like an angel's spell to protect them against the unkind people, the dark times, and the self-doubts."
