The Persian Leaps, a three-piece indie rock pop outfit from Saint Paul, Minnesota, have just unveiled the video for 'Sleepless', one of five tracks from their debut EP 'Praise Elephants', on Land Ski Records.
What began as a name doodle by singer/guitarist Drew Forsberg during a college Greek Archaeology course, has now turned into The Persian Leaps as a physical unit. Although Forsberg had recorded music as The Persian Leaps for some time, it was not until 2012 that Brad Hendrickson and Michael McCloskey joined him to perform and record driving, chiming music that’s influenced by such 1980s and early 1990s bands such as Guided by Voices, The Smiths, Teenage Fanclub, and My Bloody Valentine.
