April Single/UK Return For Augustines

Augustines continue their love affair with the UK with an April/May tour set.  This will coincide with a new single 'Now You Are Free' which will be released on April 28 via Votiv/Caroline International.

The track itself  - taken from the 'Augustines' album - is 'about ghosts and hope, and driving from someplace that has been holding you back for far too long," explains singer Billy McCarthy. "Sometimes we need to lighten the load we carry inside, remove layers and sit with just ourselves no matter how hard we hate it. And sometimes a ship must cast cargo in the sea to survive storms or the ship, no matter how brave will perish in tall waves."

The lyrics to 'Now You Are Free' were written on the Northern Coast above San Francisco by McCarthy as he cruised up the coastline by motorbike on an epic journey that spanned over thousands of miles. With so much to take in between Africa to Alaska, Augustines’ new album was defined by this journey and a catalyst for the 'Walkabout Tour' that will arrive in the UK on April 10.

The band have released a Walkabout Tour video blog today from their previous trip to London in January this year.
