Forest Unveil Stop Motion Post-It Video For 'Box'
Never have so many famously yellow Post-It notes been used in one undertaking. 1,323 of them (who had the onerous task of counting all those!) all magically come to life in this new stop-frame animation video for Forest’s new track, ‘ Box ’.
Taken from their ‘Wisdom Tusk’ EP, ‘Box’ was handpicked by band buddy Otis Moorman, who took on the strenuous task of piecing together a
phenomenal amount of drawings and photos to make this unique video idea come to life.
“It took roughly 1,323 unique sticky notes and an insane amount of hours to complete, as the average frame took 2-5 minutes to draw,” explains Moorman. “I wanted to give the video an up-front, DIY feel, relying on stuff I could do in front of the camera rather than in editing. As a result, the process was as simple as taking photo after photo of sticky notes on my bedroom wall. It’s all about limits being placed on you, and eventually using those limits to escape the box they put you in.”
Watch the video above, and look out for Forest on the road on the following dates:
MAY
02. London Old Blue Last
04. Leicester, Handmade Festival,

06. Birmingham, Hare & Hounds
