Manchester five-piece Girl Friend drop their debut four-track EP 'Everyone Wants To Be Wanted' on August 4 via You Records. Before that, 'Comforting Strangers' is the second taster track to be revealed.
Girl Friend appeared a few months ago with their debut single 'Perfume', and drew Wild Beasts-ian comparisons. This track - from the band formerly-known-as The Cold One Hundred, having undergone a name and image revamp - sharpens a synth pop edge, offset nicely by the falsetto vocals of Amory Neish-Melling which exudes a compelling listenable quality.
