Watch :: Bright Smoke's Psychedelic Love Video & See On TV Documentary This Week
No stranger to Little Indie regulars is Bright Smoke, or Bryony Fry, whom we have featured here several times with her wistful indie folktronica compositions.
On this latest hauntingly delicate, yet emotional powerful track, not only does she provide vocals, cello, flute, percussion and guitar, but the artwork that appears in the video is her own too.
Read our last post on Bright Smoke here to find out more about her and her truly inspiring fight back after her life was brought to the brink through a descent into alcohol and drugs.
Bryony is one of those who feature in the Channel Four documentary 'Addicts' Symphony' to be shown later this week (August 27). The film assembled ten musicians - of which Bryony was one - all of whom are recovering addicts, and led by composer James MConnel (himself an ex-alcoholic, and whose son Freddy died of a heroin overdose in 2011 at the age of 18), build up to a concert with the London Symphony Orchestra. The programme is moving, challenging and emotional as the subjects open up about how they almost lost everything. One not to miss.
